The Sky Blues are set to pay 22.5 million pounds to acquire the former England Under-21 international, alongside a sell-on clause and buy-back option for the Seagulls.

This acquisition will push Coventry's summer spending to 65 million pounds following previous arrivals including Aurele Amenda, Frank Onyeka, and Loum Tchaouna. Rushworth boasts 179 career appearances across various loan spells, keeping 56 clean sheets, though the Premier League represents a major step up.
