During his introductory press conference, Zidane was questioned about the reporter's situation and offered a heartfelt message of solidarity on behalf of the footballing authorities.
The legendary former midfielder stated, "The French Football Federation supports Monsieur Gleizes and his family. We simply hope that he can return home with his parents."
Emphasizing his perspective as a father, Zidane added, "I have not spoken out too much on this file, I do not speak out in just any case. That is not going to change. I am a parent, I just want him to go home to see his family."
