Spain players celebrate during their World Cup victory parade in Madrid

Spain celebrated their World Cup triumph on Monday with a massive parade through Madrid. Around two million supporters lined the streets to cheer Luis de la Fuente's squad following their victory over Argentina in the final.

The squad met Spain's royals and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez before riding an open-top bus to Cibeles Square. Over 100,000 fans gathered at the landmark as players took to the stage.

Host Raul Ramos introduced each player to the crowd. While calling up Yeremy Pino, Ramos made a sharp joke targeting Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Back in Lomo del Chentchi, they used to call Pino "Cristiano Ronaldo,"" Ramos said. "The only difference? Pino has a World Cup."

Spain eliminated Portugal in the round of 16 through a late goal from Mikel Merino. Following the loss, the 41-year-old forward confirmed it was his final World Cup appearance.
