La Liga stated that the approved system preserves audience metrics while tying additional portions to voluntary club cooperation aimed at enhancing audiovisual products, backed by the required two-thirds board majority.
The court confirmed that the legislation grants administrative bodies the authority to approve distribution criteria without restricting revenue generation solely to audience figures.
Furthermore, the court rejected claims of abuse of rights, noting that Real Madrid failed to submit technical evidence proving specific financial damages resulting from the incentive-based system.
Although this decision delivers a temporary blow to the club following the dismissal of prior criminal complaints, La Liga noted that the ruling remains subject to appeal within twenty working days.
