Juventus have hit a stalemate in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over centre-forward Randal Kolo Muani. Reports indicate the Italian giants are now reconsidering an approach for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Paris Saint-Germain are standing firm on their 50 million euro valuation for Kolo Muani. Juventus have made no progress toward matching that asking price.
Alternative targets have emerged as a result. Reports from Calciomercato claim Mateta is now the prime contingency option for Juventus, ahead of Parma forward Mateo Pellegrino and Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth.
Mateta has put contract extension talks with Crystal Palace on hold while awaiting an offer from a top European club. Juventus previously attempted to sign the French striker on loan in January with a 33 million euro option to buy.
